37 week update

How far along? 37 weeks 2 days :)

Baby's size: according to babycenter he should be a little over 6 lbs and 19 inches long.

Total weight gain/loss: 40 lbs. I about cried when they told me this!!!

Stretch marks? On my stomach, legs, and hips. Sigh

Sleep? Horrible!!! I sleep maybe 4 hours altogether

Maternity clothes? I'm no longer working, Thursday was my last day therefore I stay in sweats most of the time at home and sundresses when we go out.

Best moment this week: I went to the dr today and I'm 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. She stripped my membrane and said labor could start anytime now. If by Tuesday I haven't had him I'll be induced that day!! No matter what I'll have a baby by Wednesday :) :) :)

Worst moment this week: the results from my Strep B test came back and it was positive. I'll be treated for it during labor and it should not affect Konnor however, I'm still worried so keep us in your prayers!

Cravings: ice and pop rocks

Symptoms: swollen feet, horrible backache, lots of pressure down low and nesting.

Miss anything? Easter Sunday my whole family went on a hike and I had to stay because it was hiking up a tall rocky mountain. I miss being able to do the normal everyday thing but my Konnor will totally be worth it :)

Movement: he's so cramped in there that any movement is painful but he LOVES to throw dance parties in my belly. He is very active!!

Anything making you queasy? Nope

Sex: BOY!!! Konnor Bryant :)

What is baby up to?

Your baby is now considered full term, even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, your baby's lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)

Advice on all things baby...

I promise I haven't forgotten that I owe you all a Nursery post but that's sorta what I'm needing advice on.
We are going thru all the things we got at the baby shower and I'm trying to organize them in a neat, clean way. Any advice/tips on any good organization things for a nursery. I really need his nursery done like pronto because the doctors are saying anytime now that he could be here.
Also, I need advice on what I should pack in mine and Justin's hospital bag. I'm totally clueless.

So advice on organization, hospital bags and mainly anything else you think I'll need for baby Konnor :) thanks so much girls:D

Birthing Class...

I am on Medicaid, no I don't feel ashamed to admit this because I am still on my parents insurance and Medicaid just means its covering all things pregnancy for me so my parents don't have too. Anyways, while on Medicaid you are offered to attend birthing classes. Since I'm due in April, my classes start tonight. I've heard mixed reviews on if they helped people feel prepared or not. Some say they liked feeling clueless and classes just scared them. I'm confused on whether or not I should attend. Suggestions anyone??

32 weeks...

How far along? 32 weeks!!! :)

Baby's size: 2 weeks ago they said he was 4lbs 2 oz, so he is close to that

Total weight gain/loss: 27 lbs.

Stretch marks? Sigh, yes on my tummy! I'm so sad but it's all worth it.

Sleep? Sleep, what's that?? I seem to always be tired but never get comfy enough to sleep long.

Maternity clothes? I bought more shirts this week.

Best moment this week: getting the paint for his room, getting his car seat and stroller and tons more clothes :) its been a week all about my baby boy! :) love him!!!

Worst moment this week: nothing really, everything about my son makes me so happy!!! Can't wait to meet him! :)

Cravings: ice, ice, and more ice!

Symptoms: swollen everything and no sleep!

Miss Anything? Sleeping comfortably

Movement: bless his heart, he is so cramped in there therefore, I feel every roll and twist. He loves up bundle up in a ball and give me a rock hard tummy :) I love love love feeling him!

Anything making you queasy? My iron pills

Sex: BOY!!! Konnor Bryant :)

What is baby up to?
My baby now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). The skin on my baby's body is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth.

Pictures below: the car seat and stroller we got. The burlap banner we had made for his room, and tractor shirts for konnor and my nephew kayden :)

30 weeks!!! :)

How far along? 30 weeks 2 days! I'm just gonna say how excited I am to be this far and I'm that much closer to holding my son :)

Baby's size: at the doctor yesterday they told me weighs 4 lbs 2 ounces. He is getting big!!! :)

Total weight gain/loss: 26 lbs. I'm shocked I gained 2 lbs in less than a week, but I've finally gained my appetite back so I'm eating everything in sight!!!

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep? I'm sleeping better. I still wake up a lot to pee but other than that I'm starting to be able to sleep more comfortably.

Maternity clothes? Maternity shirts and yoga pants!!! Love em :)

Best moment this week: I went for my 4D ultrasound yesterday and I'm completely head over heels in love with my precious baby boy!!! He looks so much like his daddy! :) Overall, I'm having a much better week then last week!

Worst moment this week: nothing real bad, although I did learn he is sucking on his cord which freaks me out with it being so close to his head so I'm constantly waiting for him to move and kick do I know he is alright.

Cravings: cherry coke

Symptoms: swollen everything and my gums are bleeding like crazy!

Miss Anything? Seeing my feet but Justin so kindly painted them for me the other night :)

Movement: he is quite the mover and I love every kick, punch and roll he gives me :) he'd gonna keep this mommy on her toes when he gets here.

Anything making you queasy? Just odors, we all know our sense of smell is heightened so little smells make me gag!

Sex: BOY!!! Konnor Bryant :)

What is baby up to?
My baby's eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen. Even after birth, my baby will keep those little peepers closed for a good part of the day. He will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision and only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
