Growing Up...

Ask me how the past 7 months have been and I'll possibly tell you that it's been the best experience of my life. While no doubt that is true, it's also been a huge wake up call for me. In the past 7 months I have learned that I was going to become a mother, I have moved out of my parents' house, and I moved into a house of my own with my boyfriend so we could start our own family. I basically done a complete 360 from the careless teenager to the adult who wants to do nothing but provide the best for her unborn son. It's been a tough lesson but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am completely happy with how things are turning out. I won't lie, I wish I was married and older when I got pregnant BUT konnor was not and never will be a regret or mistake to me or our family. I am so in love with my son and he isn't even here yet. I am so blessed that God trusts me with this perfect blessing and I will fight to provide every possible thing for Konnor.
I love where I have ended up but I never imagined how difficult being an adult was. Me and Justin both have been working long hours to pay out bills, pay our house payment and buy the best stuff for Konnor. There is days where I come home from work with tears in my eyes because the 12 hour shifts while being 6 and a half months pregnant is tough but I remember the handsome blessing I am doing this for and it makes it all worth it. Thankfully, me and Justin both have Saturdays off so we can relax together and enjoy out time together. I couldn't be more thankful to have someone so supportive beside me my entire pregnancy.
Although growing up is tough, I am so glad I have wonderful supportive parents that pick me up when it all gets tough, a boyfriend that has been nothing but amazing thru it all and still never fails to make me smile and be do glad that I am experiencing this all with him and a beautiful baby boy kicking me from the inside to remind me that I love him and I know he loves his mommy too :)

Baby Boy Update...

I had my 25 week check-up today and it went great! If you've been pregnant before then you know that 24-26 weeks is when you take your sugar test. I was real nervous about it because I had to fast before the test and I already have sugar problems. The drink tasted pretty nasty but I kept it down and my results will be back in 3 days. I also had a sonogram done and he looks perfect!!!! He weighs 1 lb 14 oz and has his daddy's long legs and nose. He was very active during the sonogram and showed us all his moves. They even gave me a sneak peek of a 4d for him and seeing what he actually looks like made my heat melt!! I go for my complete 4d Feb. 21 I did however receive some not to amazing news. I am amenic and have been put on iron pills. The doctor said my iron is low enough that it would require a blood transfusion during labor if my pills didn't raise it so please pray that it gets higher! Overall Konnor is the most beautiful baby and I can't wait to meet him!!!

25 Weeks :)

How far along? 25 weeks

Baby's size: 13-14 inches long and 2 pounds. About the size of a rutabaga. Me and Justin measured 13 inches and stuck it up to my belly and it's crazy that something that long is in my belly and I know he will only get longer. His daddy is 6 foot 3 in so I know he is gonna be tall as well!

Total weight gain/loss: 17 lbs

Stretch marks? Just those on my legs! I lather myself in lotion 3 times a day!

Sleep? Ehhhh, I wake up at least 5 times a night to pee and get a little snack around 2 am. I've been having horrible back ache but my marvelous parents bought me a body pillow so that's been helping it some!!!!

Maternity clothes? Maternity pants are still too long for me but I've been wearing sweat pants or dresses because buttons on regular pants are killing me!

Best moment this week: konnor rolling around and kicking! I go to the doctor Thursday and I'm super excited to see my beautiful baby boy :) also I received my package from JC Penney of the clothes I ordered for him and his coming home outfit was included :) love it!!! Not sure why my iPhone post the pictures at the bottom but that outfit is the one he will come home in!!!

Worst Moment: I got to experience Braxton Hicks today. Thankfully they started right as my shift at work was ending so I just went down the road to my moms work. They hurt pretty bad and I'm still having them but they have lightened up some. But I just look at it this way... It's all for my Konnor

Cravings: Chocolate Milkshakes, Bananas and lots of them! I've been eating at least 3 a day

Symptoms: difficulty breathing, Braxton hicks contractions and backaches.

Miss Anything? My sunny side up eggs and raw chocolate chip cookie dough. Oh my yum yum!!!

Movement: I have an active baby :) he is awake about every 4 hours for 30 minutes at a time. Yesterday at church he was moving to the music! So neat how he can pick up noises and it was to my favorite hymn, I'll fly away. He is my baby boy :)

Anything making you queasy or sick? Green Beans and burger king!

Sex: BOY!!!

What is baby up to? He is getting ready to enter the birthing position by moving head first, unless he is breech like his mommy! If he was born now he would likely be able to survive in NICU. Also he is growing more hair!!!

Meet Crimson...

Crimson is our new puppy :)
She just showed up at our house and she was very skinny so I fed her and she never left and we are glad. After much talking me and Justin decided to keep her :) she is a puppy lab and she is super sweet and already house trained :) she will be Konnor's best buddy I can tell because she loves to lay her head on my belly and when Konnor is awake she loves to paw at my belly. She is a great blessing and Kayden loves her, they play great together!

Playing Catch Up...

We have finally moved into our new house :) we moved in Dec 21, hence the long absence from blogging. We love our new house and we are so happy to be living together. We are having a house warming shower in Feb so I will wait to post pictures till then.
We are both still working, he works full time making windows as a supervisor and I still work at Kmart. It's hard working and trying to enjoy our time as a couple before Konnor gets here because I work till 930 at night and Justin leaves for work at 5 every morning so we don't see each other much except on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays when we both have the whole weekend off. Justin is so excited to become a daddy and he talks everyday about how he can't wait for konnor to get here!
Speaking of Konnor, at my 21 week appointment they told me I was measuring 24 weeks and that when I came for my next appointment if I was still measuring big then they would possibly change my due date to the beginning of April. I go back for my sugar test and sonogram next Thursday so we will find out then :) I love feeling konnor move and kick. He seems to be a very active baby and I can already tell he is gonna have an attitude like his mommy. I Judy cant wait to meet my beautiful baby boy :)
Kayden is now 19 months old and he us sweeter than ever. He has learned tons of new words and loves trucks! He makes all sorts of noises when he plays. I will post Christmas pictures of him when I get to a computer. He still loves to kiss my belly and rub it and we are trying to teach him how to love on babies.

24 weeks

How Far Along: 24 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 13 lbs

Maternity Clothes: I've went up 2 pant sizes and a shirt size. All maternity clothes are to long for me because I'm only 5 foot 2 and apparently short people don't get pregnant lol

Stretch Marks: still only a few on my legs. Praying it stays that way!

Best Moment this Week: all the kicking Konnor does and rolling around. It makes me so happy because I know everything is okay. I'm a worrier

Movement: he kicks and rolls a lot. He stays real low so I'm able to feel how long his body is. He kicks a lot in the mornings and right after I eat. He normally wakes up every 3 to 4 hours and stays awake for 30 mins at a time.

Food Cravings: red Doritos and grapes and bananas

Labor Signs: No - and I hope to keep it that way for a while

Belly Button Innie or Outtie: Still an innie, but my belly button is starting to becoming wider and has almost popped

What are You Looking Forward to this week: all the outfits I ordered for him to come in. I have my sugar test and sonogram next week and I'm so excited :)

A letter to Konnor

My sweet precious boy,
You are 23 weeks and 6 days old in mommy's tummy and these 24 weeks have been the best weeks I've ever had. I love feeling all your movements and kicks and rolls. I can tell you will be tall just like your daddy. You stay real low in my tummy and you seem to think that my bladder is a trampoline but I enjoy every bit of it. You seem to be awake every 3 to 4 hours and you aren't afraid to let me know because you now have very strong kicks and me and your daddy love to lay there and watch you move from the outside. I never knew it was possible to love someone so much that I have not even met but I could not imagine my life without you. I'm so ready to finally meet you but you still need to grow bigger and stronger. I have big hopes for your life. My main goal for you us that you grow up to be a Christian, that you follow in God's footsteps and tell everyone you know about his grace. I hope you grow up and go up college to be whatever you chose to be and that you know no matter whet me and your daddy will always be proud of the person you become. You will always be mommy's little boy and I love you with all my heart.
Love forever,
Mommy
